…situation or listening to both McSame & the Obombus trying to promote themselves? I mean listening to these two dud muffins is about as rewarding as counting ants under a parked vehicle.
McSame comes across to me as a desperate used car salesman in need of a sales commission. The Obombus seems more like a high school society gal concerned about her popularity.
Seriously, & I’m NOT being a smart azz here, if they were both movie actors here’s how I’d see em…McSame would be the bartender in a Clint Eastwood spaghetti western. The Obombus would be the guy just outside the swinging saloon doors with the shoeshine stand. Seriously, visualize this for a moment in your minds, I mean ya can’t miss it!
At least if we’d had both Romney & Edwards it would have lent an air of "authenticity" to this fracas. I just don’t know. McSame & the Obombus seem as reputable for the oval office as did the Abbott & Costello duo so many many years ago.
Do you see better candidates for both the repub/dem tickets??? Is it just me or do others feel a "tinge" of dud about these two candidates???

HELP w/my Kitchen! What is an alternative countertop to granite that is just as nice, yet not as expensive?

If you are searching for saloon doors or cafe doors, it's quite possible because you are doing some redesigning in your house. Maybe you are re-decorating your kitchen area in order to give it a Western or cafe feel. Perhaps you are creating a nice area in your basement. Regardless of why, you'll want to take some time to look around our site to choose the right type and size doors you require for the work. I like granite, but it’s too traditional for me. Also, I know that a lot of people don’t consider it an upgrade anymore because it has become so popular. I want to put equity into my home and I’m not sure that in 5 yrs when I want to sell it, that granite will be as profitable then as it is now. I did here that silestone was becoming a new alternative, but I was also thinking about stained concrete countertops or butcher block. My cabinets are white and a few have glass in the doors. This will be a DIY project so any tips would be appreciated. Also, what color do you think would work best with the cabinets (paint and countertops)?

I plan on doing a neutral back splash like this or something like this, preferably the long tiles that look like stone bricks: http://www.burkesfloorcovering.com/backsplash.JPG

The floor will be a dark handscraped hardwood like this: http://img.diytrade.com/cdimg/698642/6443148/0/1216715155/Color_Wood_Dark_Brown_-Hand_Scraped_Style.jpg

or brick pavers for flooring like this:

I have also thought about doing a butcher block countertop like this, and I think it will look great with the hardwood floor:

here is a pic of the kitchen we are remodeling, none of this is my personal style, this is from when the previous owners had it:

As you can see, it is small. We plan on putting in stainless steel appliances, and getting rid of the saloon doors. My personal style is more like Anthropologie or french country or shabby chic, i love vintage stuff.

I know this is a lot of information, but I would love any input!! Especially pictures

Does anyone remember a 90′s music video where there is a boy who comes into a barber shop with his dad as he’s getting a cut he has tears coming down his face. There is big scissors and checkered floors, swinging saloon doors and the father is wearing cowboy boots.

Its a cowboy shootout game with 3 saloon doors
When the door opens you have the shoot if the person behind the door is a villain.
But when you shoot a ‘normal’ person you will loose point.
It;s not Mad Dog McCree

How do I get a doggie door in the back of my garage? Is it possible?

Winter is coming and my big lab has a dog house, but I dont want him out there in the Illinois winter. I cannot put him in the house because he is so destructive. Its not a good idea.
I though about building a pre designed garden shed with windows from a manufacturer, and putting him in there, but again, he chews and would destruct the shed, so now I think I will just put a doggie door in the back of the garage. How much do you think it would cost? Whats involved? I want a door that swings like saloon doors or something that.
Any ideas to help me decide what to do?
My back yard is fenced in around the side and the back of the garage, so the dog would be loose in his fenced in yard. The garage is made of wood and I do not plan to put a door in a door, but a door in the wall of the garage. The walls are 2×6′s I think and covered with wood. The siding is that old lap compressed siding they used in the 1970′s. I want the door to be about 2 ft tall and wide enough to squeeze a fat choco lab thru. The dog will have access to the garage this way because the doors will be down and the side door closed. What I would not do for my dog. Lord!!! I just installed K worth of chain link fence for him and now he has learned to dig. I keep a wheel barrel full of dirt to fill holes in about once a week.
